KD Interactive, announced today it has completed the integration of its North America Kurio products distribution operation. In past years, the distribution of Kurio products in North America was conducted in conjunction with a third-party partner. The completion of this integration exercise marks the final step in bringing the distribution of the Kurio products solely under the KD Group’s control.

The CIDE Group of Companies, a globally recognized toy industry leading-edge company has signed a joint-venture agreement with northern European distributor Eldohm Benelux – based in the Netherlands, in order to enable growth opportunities through expanded distribution coverage and available synergies on considering both entities product portfolios. Eldohm Netherlands will manage all Marketing, Sales and Distribution operations in the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany and the Flemish speaking part of Belgium. Additionally, the companies also signed a concurrent contract which incorporates Eldhom Hong Kong, which will allow for this Pacific-Rim based operation to sell, market and distribute both companies wide and varied product portfolios to globally recognized retailers.

CIDE INTERACTIVE’s breakthrough Kurio Android tablet for kids was honoured with the ‘Best of Show’ award at the UK’s Toy Fair 2012 by The Gagdet Show Live. “We are overwhelmed and delighted that the Kurio has been awarded Best In Show by The Gadget Show Live. CIDE Interactive, a French based global toy industry leading-edge company dedicated to incorporating new technologies with learning and the development of childhood comprehension has entered an agreement with toy innovator Techno Source – a division of LF Products, in order to distribute the Kurio line of Android-based tablets in North America. Kurio is a 7″ multi-touch-screen Wi-Fi-enabled tablet with an open Android system that allows parents to monitor and control their child’s interaction while online. Advanced parental controls – found in a password protected parental area – enable management of internet access, application store access and purchase control, time control options, and more. Parents can set different controls for each user profile, expanding access as the child becomes older. “Kurio was introduced at London and Nuremberg Toy Fairs with much fanfare,” said Eric Levin, Division Head, Techno Source. “It was awarded “Best of Show” and we knew immediately that we wanted to be the ones to introduce it to the North American market.
